Frenchie’s “Mac and Cheese 3” mixtape dropped earlier this week, one of the hottest tracks from the tape is “Diamonds”, produced by Swizz Beatz, as you can tell when listening. Swizz puts the same sort of sound on it as he did on “On To The Next One” with HOV. J. Cole has been seen on Pitchfork’s ‘Making of Dreams and Nightmares’ webisodes recording with Meek Mill, Wale and French Montana, mostly due to them all being together either through Drake’s Club Paradise Tour or OVO Fest. Cole shows his diverse approach to rapping, he can rap on near to any beat. Cole goes hard on this track, he raps through his riches “…ain’t set the time on my Rollie yet…”. Although his vocals have been criticized in the past, they suit this track nicely and show a good contrast to both Rozay and Montana. Then, we hear “M-M-M-Maybach Music” and in comes Rozay, one of Frenchie’s closest brothers in the MMG and Coke Boy affiliation. Ross raps an average verse for him, but again, his presence makes the track even better. French makes the song his own with his verse at the end and constant input on the hook. Take a listen to all of ‘Mac and Cheese 3’, not just this. Enjoy.
